CUSTOMER TESTIMONIALS

My 9-year-old daughter has been taking lessons with Joe since January via Zoom and they have managed a few face-to-face lessons now as well.

Olivia loves her weekly lessons and Joe has helped her put music to a song she wrote herself which has been fantastic to watch and listen to it come together.

It has been a tough year for Olivia after losing her Dad in February and her music has helped her through and gave her a way to lose herself for while each week, Joe has been so patient with her and it’s been lovely watching the teacher student relationship bond build between them.
I am looking forward to what they do next.
Thanks Joe @Guitar53

Student’s Mum, Face to Face & Remote Lessons

I recently sat in on my sons first guitar lesson with Joe of Guitar53.
Prior to this lesson I had only shown him 2 chords in the guitar shop a couple of hours before the lesson. I was very pleasantly surprised with the way Joe teaches. He keeps it fun and enjoyable, which to me is the best way to teach as the work doesn't feel like work!

The way he gauges his student’s ability is amazing. He had my son playing at least 8 chords, and even a scale for doing riffs, in little over an hour. Little tips he's learned over the years thrown in too, like the connection between certain chords, will greatly help my son going forward.

Had I had a teacher like Joe when I was 13, I would most likely have spent more time practising and learning, instead of getting bored with theory and exercises.
I highly recommend Joe as an inspirational guitar teacher!

Student’s Dad, Face to Face Lessons

When she joined your class, she knew she had found the right tutor to assist her in developing her music skills, not just a tutor but a fantastic mentor. Today she was offered a college place to study music. I am so proud of her and what she wants to do is to teach and you have given her the opportunity to teach in your class. All I can say to every parent is to encourage.

When your kid is stuck, go back to basics because they eventually get there, always ask for help. Thanks to Joe for his dedication to Guitar53.

Student’s Mum, Classses & One to One Lessons

I think that Joe understands people as much as the music and every lesson I imagine suits the individual. I feel that Joe feeds from whatever you are passionate about and builds the lesson in part about that, he is genuinely interested in what he is teaching you – even if it is the 400th time he has played Wonderwall you don’t have any idea. No question is stupid and between the live lessons and the videos you have everything you need. I believe the lessons have reflected exactly what I have needed to continually improve and to always be engaged with learning guitar.

I love my lessons, before lockdown it was something that I looked forward to – when you had a really good lesson or felt you had overcome something, or everything fell into place you would be on a total high from it. Through lockdown it has become even more important, I feel like we have a laugh and I get to dedicate time to learning something. The lessons are fun, and I always come away from them feeling either better about myself or better about how far I have come on the guitar.

Over the last 8 months I have achieved more than the last 15 years learning from books and e-learning. Having the tutor breakdown and change chords to suit your style of playing though keeping you in tune. Having a person you can talk to about the music you are learning rather than a theory-based lesson where there is no practical lesson to it and you’re having to lower your standard of learning. There is no compromise to gaining the knowledge, speed, and different strumming patterns, as well as the different songs related to the patterns from having a tutor who knows what is required to get you to that level. Thank you, Joe!

Lessons are always fun. I enjoy how Joe breaks down parts of the lesson down and brings it altogether. It’s great learning the chords of songs you like, and Joe really brings that together
I was nervous about taking guitar lessons, I think possibly just because I am a little older and thinking I would be rubbish, but Joe is very patient and makes the lessons fun and relaxed which instantly settled any nerves.

Joe has really easy ways he explains things and is very clear at showing visually. Learning to play the guitar is super fun. Guitar53 makes it fun and enjoyable in a relaxed situation.

I would highly recommend Guitar 53 to anybody who wants to learn guitar or improve their guitar playing. Joe is a really good teacher and is an excellent guitar player. He gives you praise when you do well which helps motivate you. He also sends videos of songs you have been practicing following a lesson which you can go over at your leisure. This really helps you learn and reinforce your learning. Although lessons can sometimes be challenging, Joe keeps them fun and stress-free. I have noticeably improved in my time doing lessons with Joe and found the lessons keep me motivated and focussed.

I have been playing guitar on and off for 20 years, however I felt like I was stagnating and not progressing with my playing. I have seen a massive improvement since starting my lessons with Joe. I feel I am able to learn new songs faster than before, and I am also finding my technical and improvisation skills have improved. I always finish a lesson feeling really motivated to practice what I have learnt. During lockdown the online lessons have been something I look forward to, as they improve my mood.
